Community foundation seeks nominees for Volunteer of the Year awards

The Montgomery County Community Foundation (MCCF) is actively seeking adult nominations for its 2026 Volunteer of the Year Award, and youth nominations for its 2026 Peggy Herzog Youth Volunteer of the Year Award. Each year, the MCCF seeks one adult and one youth candidate who has made a “significant, long time contribution of his/her time and talent to make [an] organization better and our community a better place to live”.

If you would like to nominate someone, fill out the form here. Nominations are due by Tuesday, April 7th at 5 p.m.

The winners and nominees will be announced during its annual meeting on Thursday, May 21st at 4:30 p.m. Each organization that nominates the winner of an award will receive $1,000. Both individual winners will take home a personalized plaque, along with their name embedded in a perpetual plaque displayed within the Foundation.

Winners will not be selected from a repeat agency that had won in consecutive years. Both winners will also not be selected from the same agency within the same year. Family members and spouses of current MCCF board members and staff are prohibited from nomination.

Those with questions about the process can contact MCCF Grants & Community Relations Director Cheryl Keim by phone at 765-362-1267, or by email at cheryl@mccf-in.org.
