Stockwell cafe closes early after reports of shooting suspect nearby

Stockwell Cafe and Pizza closed early Tuesday night after receiving reports of a Lafayette shooting suspect being discovered nearby. Stockwell is a small town located a few minutes north of the Montgomery-Tippecanoe county line.

Lafayette police is currently searching for 37-year-old Adam Joseph McDaniel, who is accused of shooting a man and abducting a 7-year-old child from a residence in the 700 block of Olivia Place. The man’s last known condition was listed as critical. The child was found unharmed in Rossville, which is about a 25-minute drive east of Lafayette.

Stockwell Cafe and Pizza stated in their post that a truck looking similar to McDaniel’s Silver 2011 Ford F-150 was found on C.R. 900 S. yesterday. The truck’s license plate number is TK872OAA. The truck also contains oversized aftermarket wheels. A picture of the truck can be viewed below.

If spotted, police urge the public to not approach McDaniel and instead dial 911 immediately. He is considered armed and dangerous.
