Wabash reclaims top producer of U.S. Fulbright Scholars status

Wabash College has reclaimed their spot among a list of universities in the United States that have produced the most Fulbright scholars in the U.S. student program. The college previously held this status during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 award cycle.

During last year’s cycle, Wabash had 9 semifinalists out of a pool of 12 applicants: the most semifinalists in school history.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is the largest U.S. exchange program that allows recipients to collaborate with foreign research institutes in large-scale projects. According to Fulbright, thousands of students across 140 countries apply each year starting in the spring when the screening process begins.

146 Wabash students have completed their Fulbright applications within the past 11 years, with 64 semifinalists and 31 winners during that period.
